The Principles of Purchasing Your Swimwear

The Principles of Purchasing Your Swimwear

When buying a swimsuit, we can touch it with our hands or look at its list of materials to check intuitively. The swimwear with good fabric feels soft and elastic. The fabric is seamed with relatively dense grain and delicate and flexible lines which will not break in the movement. And the principles of try-on are fitness and comfort. If it is too big, it may increase the burden of the body and the resistance to swim. While if the swimwear is too small, it is easy to create marks on the skin and influence blood circulation.

1. Fabric and Structure
It is best to choose elastic fabrics with more than 15% content of spandex so that the swimwear can expand with body movements freely. We need to pay attention to the adaptability of fabric to the content of chlorine molecules in the swimming pool. At present, the most popular swimwear in the world, made of stereoscopic stretch fabric, is suitable for low-temperature water or swimming. Because this kind of material owns the hollow feature and is easy to maintain the body temperature. It is not recommended to purchase the so-called imported high-elastic spandex fabrics which are imitative. On one hand, the spandex content of cloth is generally about 15%-20%. On the other hand, the fake fabric has very poor resilience in water due to the variation of the composition.

2. Workmanship and Safety
With the practical characteristic and the strong tensile force, swimwear with lots of jointing is not a good choice. It's easy to split at the seam when the motion amplitude is large. The basic method of seam sewing is the three-needle five-thread interlock, and the firmest one is the three-needle six-thread way. And the elasticity of the thread ought to match the stretch of the fabric. About beachwear, it is better to choose the one with shirring lines, which is attractive and resilient.

3. Health
The swimwear made of silk and cotton has the advantages of the chemical & blended fabric that are silky and bright. The inner layer will not stimulate our skin because of its pure cotton material, which is especially suitable for people who are vulnerable to be allergic. And the crotch of the swimwear needs to have a lining, which could be worn longer.

4. Personal Security
When we go swimming in the sea or deep water, we ought to choose the swimwear whose color has a relatively strong contrast with that of water. In case that the danger unexpected happens, it is easier to find and rescue the drowning swimmers.
